The theme of this exhibition can easily be linked with Feminism, but these three New York-based female artists are not trying to take up the issue of women's liberation from problems based on cultural gender discrimination or preconceived gender roles such as women's rights, same-sex relationships, abortion rights and domestic violence. Their works urge viewers to imagine selfless freedom for women, but also contain an irrational air of destruction. They each attempt to give birth to the definition of the "female" through their own rituals and fairy tales. Exhibition curated by hpgrp Gallery New York Director Shuhei Yamatani.
