"Love & Hate Lunch Box" is a faux cable TV cooking show presented by the artist Okada, a.k.a. "Hiroko Okada Sensei" from San Francisco. As the title implies, Obento (Japanese style lunch box) recipes introduced take as their theme the love and hate relationship that mothers have with their children.

This exhibition presents drawings and photographs of recipes for "Love & Hate Lunch Box" and three video installation works of her cooking shows. Presented by Hiroko-Sensei and her husband are "Labor Pains Lunch Box", "Political Correctness Lunch Box", and "Chance Operation Lunch Box" - the contents are deeply related to issues in the contemporary art world today. The role of the husband is being played by a variety of guests from the art world.

Opening Reception: July 18th (Wed) 18:00-20:00
