"Underbelly Skirmishes" is the debut solo exhibition in Japan for 25 year-old, London-based artist Maya Hewitt. A recent graduate in painting of the University of Brighton (UK), a past participant in a 6 month residency at the Nagoya University of Art, and a 4 month studio residency in Mallorca, Spain, Hewitt has participated in solo and group exhibitions in London, Spain, Switzerland and Japan. Hewitt is presently living and working in Tokyo with the support of the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation.
