Kazumasa Nagai
This exhibition features work by one of Japan's representative graphic designers, Kazumasa Nagai. After the 1990s he changed his style of expression greatly and has been drawing the finely detailed series "Life" by hand. In the past four years he has challenged the style of etched printmaking and has been creating vivacious, gracious prints on the lifelong theme of life. In this exhibition, newly etched prints from his recent "Life" series will be introduced. Also, his series of white uneven relief prints of abstract forms that won the Museum of Modern Art Award in the International Biennial Exhibition of Prints in Tokyo in 1968 will be reintroduced. Viewers will be able to enjoy the artist's representative prints, both new and old, that exemplify the transformation of his work from the abstract to the concrete.

A total of 70 works including approximately 40 new etching prints from the "Life" series and the artist's 1968 uneven relief prints will be on display.
