Lim Kyung Mun "Korean Blue Porcelain"
This event has ended.
At Gallery Lystig Aoyama
Media: Ceramics
Artist Lim Kyung Mun creates works exploring the tradition of powder blue porcelain that is made through a very long process. He uses clay taken from the mountains himself and a traditional pottery wheel with a foot pedal. After an organic glaze is applied the porcelain is baked in a kiln for five days until completion. He goes through the process twice a year, in spring and autumn.
The artist and his translator will be at the gallery during the exhibition period to explain his work.
