This event has ended.

In commemoration of the opening of the Rokuro Taninaka Gallery, Taninaka's original drawings for the cover page of "Weekly Shincho" from the first issue to his last work are introduced chronologically, to give a thorough overview of the artist's career. This exhibition includes works made between 1958 and 1959.

Rokuro Taninaka had a health problem in 1958 and during that time his older pieces were used for the cover design of Shincho, which include works made even before the first issue of the magazine was published in 1956. The early works are important to understand his stylistic difference, in which a Surrealist approach can be seen.
