"Trasceryscape" is a series of new works by Aki Lumi, consisting of detailed line drawings on monochrome photographs of cityscapes and landscapes. In some works, drawings are done on a rotated photograph, abandoning its original format. Certain elements in photographs of ordinary scenes that enable viewers to understand depth and perspective are lost, and the two-dimensionality of a piece of image is emphasized as a result.

"Trasceryscape" ignores photographic contexts, and goes back and forth between "an image" and "a piece of paper". The scenes reveal another world parallel to this one that "accidentally" emerges in a complex context of reality and imagination.
