Fumiaki Akahane + Takehiko Hoshino "Worm Hole Episode 9"
This event has ended.
In Akahane’s works, various motifs rise to the thick surface of black, red and green paint. An ineffable but expressive presence lies fungi-like deep inside his works. A graphic touch with a trace of the brush stroke leads to thorough contentment.
In contrast, Hoshino uses pale colors. A floating emptiness full of light appears on the surface. Fluorescent pink and yellow colors behind the white, gray and lime green fields project a spatial sensation that is far beyond flatness.
Both Akahane and Hoshino are showing in the solo exhibition style (Akahane on the first floor, Hoshino on the fourth floor). Akahane also shows at MAGIC ROOM? in the Kiyosumi-Shirakawa art complex on Fridays and Saturdays, from the 27th of October to the 24th of November.
Opening Reception: October 20th (Sat) 19:00-
