The ginza graphic gallery will host an exhibition titled “Welcome to Magazine Pool: Ten Creators Crossing Boundaries for Magazine Design,” produced by top magazine designer Yasushi Fujimoto (TMDC president and CAP representative) and featuring ten creators’ initiatives in the cutting edge of the magazine design scene.

Magazines have an indispensable role to play in contemporary communication. They disseminate a constant stream of up-to-date information from around the world, and demands consistent attention as the most stimulating medium for both design and editorial content.

In collaboration with the Singaporean magazine Werk, noted for the radically unconventional design that differs from issue to issue, this exhibition features the production of a limited print run of a magazine entitled Magazines as Art by ten creators based both in Japan and overseas. The show will lead the realm of magazines into an unexplored territory, demonstrating new possibilities for this medium.
