メディア: ビデオ・インスタレーション
スイス人女性アーティスト、ピピロッティ・リストによる「Karakara」展が開催されます。本展は意外にも、リストにとって日本の美術館における初個展となります。大型インスタレーション「Das Zimmer (The Room)」(1994/ 2000)を始めヴェネチア・ビエンナーレで話題を独占した映像「Ever Is Over All」(1997)、そして近作の「A la belle etoile (Under The Sky)」(2007)など、リストの代表作10点が一堂に会します。

湿度のある生々しく可愛らしい作品たち
今年一番の展覧会でした！ピピロッティと原美術館がここまであうとは予想外です。

In a tiny hole in the floor, a screen shows her naked, looking up and ranting at you. 久しぶりにコンテンポラリーアートを見ようと思って何も知らずに出かけたのですが、クリーンヒットでした！
とても素敵なイベントでした。
予備知識のほとんどないまま行ったのだが、さすが原美術館。素晴らしい展覧会が待ち受けていました。

数年前に話題の新進作家として来日して以来、見守ってきた作家。難解なことを難解に思考することを拒絶するような狂気とユーモアと批評性の共存＝ピピロッティ・マジックは本展でも随所に散りばめられている。
Only one video show " Ever Is Over All" which is her most famous work was worth seeing for me. Others are borning.
際どい、と書いてから際どいという単語は
ボーダーライン上に存在し、しかしその線内に収まっている
様子を表す言葉なのではないかと再考した。
そう言う意味では、際どいとは表現できない。
超えてしまっている。アートとポルノの境界線は

I liked 'Under the Sky'.
One must stand in the middle of the projection to enjoy the work.
The presentation could have been much better. Light coming from the entrance was quite distracting.... I feel it needed a darker and quieter place.
I also liked 'the room' installation. The concept is good but the feeling didn't last long. The installation was too minimal and I felt the need of more objects as a layman to get the feeling of the 'world' that the artist has tried to create.
Overall, worth visiting.
