At Mujinto Production
Media: Photography, Art Party

This exhibition entitled "Flying Goza Mat" features works using carpet to represent an ambiguous "place" on a map, while it also presents the "Flying Goza Mat", the work bearing the same title as this exhibition and also presented at the exhibition "New Tokyo Contemporaries" held in Shin Marunouchi Building in April. "Flying Goza Mat" is a photograph of a floating piece of fabric in the air. This sense of suspension can be compared to the artist himself, who explores both traditional and contemporary art forms back and forth.
Usui's work negates easy categorization or trend, resisting its originality and his personal views. This exhibition aims to introduce his unique body of work.
