Works for musicians and children created by applying gouache onto dyed paper, paper made from cedar bark, and paper containing soil from paddy fields. Ishihara takes pride in maintaining the highest standards of workmanship by creating her own unique handmade paper for her drawings. She uses bold, black lines set off against a background of warm, natural colors, displaying an unique flair for showcasing the natural, honest qualities of her materials.
