Noritake "Snowball In Your Face"

Paul Smith Space Gallery

This event has ended.

This exhibition features about 40 new drawings in both small and large formats. In addition, Noritake will also create works by drawing directly on the walls of the gallery, pieces that are linked to other series of drawings presented at Pantaloon in Osaka and IID Gallery in Tokyo this year, as well as the "Aurora" exhibition held in Nieves, Switzerland this November.

Noritake uses a diverse range of motifs delineated in simple lines - ancient Egyptian statues, mysterious patterns, listless and weary children. From a single work is born multiple choices as to motifs, and the space of the exhibition presents a jumble of multiple themes and subjects with no shared, common meaning, giving rise to a strange, unfathomable relationship - a mystery even to the artist himself.
