Media: Installation

print

This is the Alfredo Jaar's first solo exhibition in Japan in 8 years, using texts from Sadako Kurihara's poems, light boxes, documentary photographs and mirrors to create a new installation work that is partially a homage to Kurihara's energetic career and poetry. Jaar, born in Chile and now based in New York, poses sharp questions about the position of women and the state of political activism in Japan.
