This event has ended.

This "Contemporary Art Summer Holiday" exhibition features works from the permanent collection, organized around unique themed combinations with associated "keywords". Works are grouped in pairs, linked by some word or other. These familiar, easy-to-understand "keywords" have been chosen for the benefit of children who are visiting the other "Bratislava World Picture Book Original Illustrations" exhibition. For instance, works with the keyword "washi (Japanese paper)" both use this as a material while showing visitors the entirely different means of expression this material is capable of, while works on the theme of "Name and Contents" prompt viewers to consider the sometimes unbelievable relationship between a work of art and its title. However, this approach is of course only one suggested itinerary when viewing the exhibition, and it is hoped that visitors will be able to explore the wealth of styles and modes of expression of all these artists, looking at works from a variety of perspectives, and picking their own path of adventure through the exhibition...

Related events are also scheduled. See website for details.
