This year marks the 50th anniversary of the publication of "Paddington Bear," born in England but adored the world over.
Kuniko Nagasaki is a popular illustrator who is publishing a new Paddington Bear calendar to commemorate this occasion. As a Japanese artist, Nagasaki is the first non-English illustrator to depict Paddington in this way. At this exhibition, Logos Gallery traces 50 years of Paddington's history, putting on display a variety of valuable stuffed toys, illustrations, and Paddington illustrations by Nagasaki. In addition, an assortment of Paddington goods and books that ought to make fine Christmas gifts will also be on display and for sale, including a 50th anniversary commemorative Paddington calendar that includes these new illustrations.
Full of gentle curiosity and vigor, this little bear gets himself tangled in sticky situations and causes much bother for everyone, but dear Paddington is still a lovable character who knows what's right!
