Chris Mendoza, Aiko Nakagawa, Martha Cooper, Chris Rubino
Chris Mendoza, Aiko Nakagawa, Martha Cooper and Chris Rubino are 4 New York-based artists. Although working in different media and across generations, they will collectively present this exhibition that considers how "time changes" and connects us to tomorrow and a sharp-lookin' future. Photographs, drawings, silkscreen prints and paintings will fill the space of Calm and Punk, communicating something of New York's diversity, its throng of individuals gathered in one city, right here across the world in Tokyo.
For the duration of this 2-day exhibition, the artists will also present a slideshow of New York's streetscapes, give a talk, and conduct a live painting performance, in hopes of better establishing a kind of rapport with audience members.
Those wishing to attend and participate, please send an email to info@calmandpunk.com, with "June 8th: Time Changes Workshop" in the title, and your name, email address and number of persons attending in the text.
