This event has ended.

Prior to this exhibition, Mori has worked mostly on drawings in ink and translucent watercolors, as well as installations with clay and cellophane sculptures, sundry goods and waste materials. Her work fuses human motifs with geographical themes such as cities and maps in a sophisticated manner. Living, working and walking around all become a part of one's experience of the city. Alternatively, the version of a city that lives in one's memories and forms one's impressions is in turn superimposed on the reality of that city, leading to either incompatibility or convergence. The city is thus something apprehended on an instinctive, gut level.
In this exhibition that includes paintings, drawings, photos and installations featuring murals and urns, Mori wandered the streets of the city like a homeless person, picking up and gathering fragments of it that symbolized it in some way - logos from signs, license plates, etc. For Mori, these bits and pieces are not merely symbols of the city, but a part of that city in itself.
