Exhibition of around 70 Japanese ceramic pieces from the Idemitsu Museum collection, introducing viewers to representative styles Japanese ceramics, from Karatsu- and Mino-yaki from the Momoyama period to Arita- and Kyo-yaki from the Edo period.
This exhibition takes over where last year's Waseda University Aizu Yaichi Memorial Museum Collection exhibition left off, showcasing crafts and especially ceramics, focusing in particular on Momoyama era pieces, often considered to be a sort of golden age for ceramics, as well as Edo period works.
