After NADiff bookstore closed its Omotesando premises last summer, and Magical Artroom left the Roppongi Gallery Complex in February, the two reopen their doors in a stylish building in Ebisu, known as NADiff a/p/a/r/t, together with G/P Gallery, Art Jam Contemporary and Magic Room.

Chim ↑ Pom, who are fast gaining a reputation for their combination of slacker humor and biting sarcasm, were perfect for NADiff president Kimiaki Ashino's low-key approach.

"I don't think any of them actually make a living from their art," he said. "So it's like, 'You're starting a new gallery with a bunch of amateurs?' Yes! I'm very pleased with that."
