Keiji Inagaki reflects a single casual scene from everyday life in his work. The gaze that captures this universal moment is that of a youngster retrieving a fragment from the side of the road, so to speak; it is also the perspective of an old dog chained up to a lock. Inagaki's work runs to a slower pace of time and gentler atmosphere; without realizing it, one feels compelled to add narration to those spaces. Viewers are often unwittingly pulled into his unique sense of "ma."
This exhibition features around 100 "documentary photos" that elicit various narrative responses from viewers.
