Statues, paintings, and other works will be brought from the Yakushi-ji Temple in Nara for this special commemorative exhibition. This temple is the headquarters of the Hosso School of Buddhism, and this year marks 1300 years since the one-time national capital Heijo-kyo was established in Nara.

いってまいりました。
薬師寺はもう５年くらい前の旅行でいったんですわ。
こんかいも来ている聖観音さんをどうしても見たくって。
でもいってみたらそうでもなかったんです。たしか
なんか、写真でみてたイメージそのまんますぎてね、あんまり感動できんかったの
だから
どうかな～？楽しめるかな？
たぶん混んでるしなあ…とおもってたんですけどね。

♂＝先日、東京に行った折り、
東京芸術大学からトコトコ歩いていたら、
この催しに出くわしました。
お寺関連の美術品は、
”本来、お寺まで行って眺めるべきもの…”
と思ってるので、
”美術館で鑑賞するなんてズルい”
と思います。
まして、薬師寺ならば、
”仏像のみならず、搭を見ずして何を見るの？”
と思ってしまうのですが…。
その辺の個人的グチはさておき、
本物を見る機会を逃すテは無いです。
出来れば、
仏さまの種類や仏教の知識を少しだけ予習して
行きましょう。
ぼっ～と眺めているよりは、
興味の湧き方が違います。
