Taking western calligraphy as her starting point, Wada adopts a unique approach in these works that give shape to words and impressions, creating an art that tries not to seize the literal meaning of words, but rather to capture something of their rich spiritual source, confronting it in a free manner. The works on display at this exhibition have at once a strong physical character and a spiritual presence as well.
