Showcasing photographs the artist shot from September 2004 through January 2006 in Minamata City, Kumamoto, and its neighboring areas. Minamata has been known as a place filled with anger and tears. However, its people has started moving on, leaving the lessons of the past behind. The artist captured these people's various expressions, observed their everyday activities and collected small traces of things that belong to this place, portraying in his photographs and words strenuous will power and human dignity. The title of the exhibition speaks for his wish for all people to seize happiness. 30 monochrome photographs will be on display.
