BridgE is a design unit that pursues new creative possibilities in furniture, product and eyewear design, nurturing designers and modelers in these fields and amassing techniques for making them. This exhibition focuses on materials that the members encountered in their various activities up until now, and attempts to break fixed conventions and notions about them, finding new modes of expression for them in furniture and other products. Using a wide spectrum of materials - ranging from traditional lacquer and blown glass to cutting-edge biometals - as well as previously undiscovered combinations of all these, BridgE also introduces the working process by which these products take eventual form.
