Photographer Itaru Hirama has exhibited photographs of musicians, poetry-photographs (collaborative works with poets) and of people from his hometown Shiogama Town in Miyagi prefecture. Hirama was greatly charmed by Min Tanaka's dance when he first saw it, and met Tanaka again twenty years later through the production of a photo album called "Maison de Himiko". By 2006, Tanaka had left theatrical spaces and started "ba-odori", meaning "dancing the space itself rather than dancing in the space". Hirama invited Tanaka to Shiogama Town in 2007 and shot "ba-odori", in which he became fully integrated with a variety of sceneries around him such as a harbor, cliff, old house and alleys. Through experiencing Tanaka's dance and his existence in Shiogama, Hirama refocused his eyes on his hometown and came to reflect on himself. This exhibition features over 30 works including ones shot in May and December 2007.
