Shigeo Matsuzawa was awarded the grand prize at the 3rd Contemporary Female Nude Exhibition in 1980. This exhibition celebrates the 60th year of his painting career through 130 works selected by Matsuzawa himself, lavishly published in a handsome collection by Nichido Publishing.
This exhibition commemorates the publishing of Matsuzawa's collected works, focusing mainly on female portraits that have a strong emotional impact compressed into a terse image. In addition to representative past work, around 30 new works will also be on display.
