Miyake makes drawings, sculptures and performances, as well as other artforms that help to construct one's universe. Typically, his art uses cardboard cutouts and pieces of wooden board on which Miyake draws girls and other figures. Also typical is his brand of performance art in which he puts on handmade costumes and performs live drawings.

Miyake's representative motifs used in his earlier works are the girls called "Sweet-san". Their long, horizontal faces with small features and extremely short bodies with lanky limbs look playful and optimistic, even though they may sometimes wear a sad expression. Recently, the idea of sweetness has gained currency, especially in the context of Japanese contemporary art. For Miyake, however, this only signifies the fact that things can look positive from a certain perspective.

Since Sweet-san was created by Miyake as a basic motif, she has transformed herself into various forms. For instance, she wore the Colosseum on her head at an exhibition in Bologna, while she transformed herself into an alien for an exhibition in Germany. She also acted as a girl who danced with a bear to the song "Mori no Kuma-san (A Bear in the Forest)" at an exhibition in New Zealand.

This time, Miyake has chosen ancient Egyptian gods as his subject. There will be large-scale works, such as a sculpture measuring 4 meters in height, drawings almost 8 meters in size, and a series of paintings that he executed for the first time.
