Guided by the whisperings of the mirrored flowers, one gradually gets lost in the dark hues of the black lacquer. The finesse of Hikoju lacquerware beckons viewers into its imaginary world, a treat and a stimulation for the five senses. On display are lacquered frames, tea ceremony implements, incense ceremony tools and sake cups.

Gallery talk: August 3rd (Sun) 15:00-16:00

Talks by the artist about the work on display will be held every Saturday and Sunday for the duration of the exhibition at 13:30, 15:00 and 17:00.
