As a trailblazer of Japanese "story manga" and the founder of "TV animation", Osamu Tezuka flourished in the Showa era, leaving behind a huge legacy of work amounting to 700 manga and 70 animation works. His oeuvre had a significant influence not only on the people of his generation, but also contemporary culture, art and science.

Showcasing manga and animation drafts as well as beloved personal items, this exhibition examines the life and work of this singular artist.

Additionally, visitors of all ages can enjoy and experience the world of Tezuka through encounters with familiar characters like Astroboy installed in a corner of the exhibition space.
