Yukio Misu Exhibition

Ginza Nikon Salon (Nikon Plaza)
Finished

Artists

Yukio Misu
Misu began taking photographs of the scenery around him when he realized that he had a mission to leave behind a trace of nostalgic landscapes that were in danger of disappearing completely.

At the time, Japan was in the throes of a process of development that seemed to ignore the natural rhythms of life in general. The suburban area where Misu was living was changing at an unbelievable rate. He started training his lens on scenes of Bubble excess, the upheavals wrought by the collapse of the bubble economy, nostalgic landscapes and more, coming into contact with scenes he never imagined would have existed.

60 black and white photos are on view.
