Michel Frapier "Un Autre Monde"
This event has ended.

Media: Photography
Through his images of "another world," Michel Frapier awakens different forms of sight in the viewer - watching something and finding someone, at different distances, and at different densities of crowdedness. Hearing and eyesight are both important and accurate directional sensors to in one's personal search for "someone", as has been proven by several experiments. Photographers in general have often visualized their targets in an analogous way to the vision of hunting animals. Frapier, however, is one of very few artists who express his vision with elegance and poetry.
"I wish to look at you"
"I wish to listen to your voice"
Frapier politely captures his targets' appearance, atmosphere and behavior at a certain distance. Every important thing can probably be visualized and understood in this way, with modesty and simplicity. The world might appear differently through the artist's modest vision. We will probably be able to see our world differently when we enrobe it tenderly…
