In the past, art was about extracting natural beauty, safeguarding unique cultures and traditions and conveying them to others. Amid the bewildering change in technology and culture in contemporary society, however, new perspectives on art that stem from uncanny sensations and a sense of discomfort are being explored.
The main artists in this exhibition are Katsuki Tanaka, Neasden Control Centre and Yuichi Higashionna. This is also the first exhibition to draw on the collection of Calm and Punk, which is celebrating its second anniversary.
