"Wonder Senior 30" Exhibition
Closes in 20 days
At Yokosuka Museum of Art
Media: Painting
This exhibition features paintings that depict contemporary Japan in the Showa and Heisei periods, focusing on works by 32 veteran painters in their 60s and 70s that highlight the tremendous creativity of a generation of artists who have devoted their efforts to honing their practice in the midst of dramatic postwar social and cultural change. These artists first made their debut as artists and started winning attention for their work around the time of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and the 1970 World Expo in Osaka.
