This event has ended.

Shape, color, design. Imari ware delights the eye from every angle. However, the world of ceramics is full of specialist terms and compared to exhibitions of paintings and sculptures, for example, exhibitions of ceramics tend to make people feel awkward and unsure of how to appreciate the items on display. With this exhibition, the emphasis is on ensuring that visitors leave with a greater understanding of Ko-Imari ware, from basic knowledge such as the difference between earthenware and porcelain, to production techniques such as shaping and decoration methods and historical background such as how ceramics were made in the Edo period, thereby making the viewing experience much more enjoyable.
