This event has ended.

This exhibition will provide visitors with an opportunity to view Italian painting and sculptures alongside those of the European regions north of the Alps, and thus get a skin-deep personal experience of the flow of European art as it has developed and matured over the centuries. The exhibition features a selection of 107 paintings, sculptures and drawings from the National Museums of Berlin collections, including Della Robbia's exquisitely elegant Madonna and child, Tilman Riemenschneider's endlessly fascinating depictions of the human form in plain wood, paintings by Vermeer and Rembrandt, Botticelli's bewitchingly artless sketches on white vellum, and Michelangelo's emotive drawings.
