Artists

Kiyoji Otsuji
Kiyoji Otsuji (1923–2001) began his career as an avant-garde photographer shortly after the end of WWII in 1949, creating works that pursued the possibilities of the medium, leaving an impact on the next generation of photographers. This exhibition focuses on Otsuji's prolific 50s period, his early days working with the avant-garde groups Jikken Kobo and Graphic Group, and works from the 60s that focus on the rapidly changing architecture and urban landscapes that emerged in the wake of Japan's period of rapid economic growth.
