MOT’s 20th anniversary year, 2015, also marks 70 years since the end of World War II. In commemoration, the MOT Collection this time looks at “Postwar Art in Close-Up.” In its first permanent exhibition twenty years ago, MOT traced the history of postwar contemporary art since 1945. Several themes were established under which to examine individual artworks. This time, the MOT Collection returns to that objective and looks freshly at collected works from the basic perspectives of history, materials, and expressive style.
