This event has ended.
Presenting the first exhibition in Japan for Christiane Löhr, an artist based in Germany and Italy. Collecting natural materials like dandelions, thistles, seeds and stems of other familiar plants, and sometimes even horse hairs, Löhr brings out their unique properties in her works.
In this exhibition, Löhr’s sculptures and drawings are spread throughout the museum’s open and airy space. The Arte Povera and Minimalist movements of the 1960s, which explored the relationships between people and nature and the environment and its elements, have influenced Löhr, who from an early age has found inspiration in nearby natural landscapes. Often born from direct encounters with nature, these works bring contemporary people and the earth closer together, raising new questions.
