The fifth in the Musashino Art University and Design series, which explores the history of modern design through works in the university collection, presents an exhibition focusing on graphic design in Japan during the period of rapid economic growth from the 1960s to the 1980s. Visitors may explore this history through posters created with improvements in printing technologies that made greater stylistic diversity possible and “designer” a recognized profession.
