This event has ended.

Richly expressive white rippling waves unfold before the eye in delicate yet bold floor installations created entirely out of salt. Motoi Yamamoto, who creates salt art unlike any other in the world, presents “Drifting Garden” in Ginza. Translucent white crystals take on the appearance of waxing waves, sometimes evoking swirling galaxies or whirlpools. These works will be returned to the ocean after this exhibition, leaving no trace of their current manifestations. Their very impermanence is perhaps what makes their expressions of nature’s forms and life’s phases unforgettable.
