The Beauty of Boro

Amuse Museum
Finished
Boro textiles bring a sense of the “origin of fashion”. The trends of fashion appear to be based upon very superficial terms, the “look from without”, “clothes to make you appealing”, an emphasis on the “importance of the physical body”. Yet in fact this is not the essence of fashion, it is rather something which emanates from a primal source, just as animals show themselves off, appeal to their individuality and hope to leave aline of their DNA. In this way fashion may be concerned with ecology, technique, emotion and historic aesthetic. This is the essence of boro textiles revealed in this exhibition.
