In tribute to graphic designer Yusaku Kamekura who passed away suddenly in 1997, a prize in his name was established in 1999 as a contribution to the development of the graphic design industry. The selection and administration of the prize is overseen by the Japan Graphic Designers Association (JAGDA). Every year, the most outstanding work from “Graphic Design in Japan” is awarded the prize. The winner of the 18th award is Ken Miki for his APPLE+ poster.
