Naho Kawabe
This is the first exhibition by Naho Kawabe at this gallery, and her first solo exhibition in Japan in three years. Kawabe is a contemporary artist active in Japan and Germany who is interested in the transformation of materials. She creates works across diverse media, such as installations that combine images and multiple objects. This exhibition focuses on nuclear energy and radioactive substances in contemporary society, exploring the topic of time scales far beyond the range that people can perceive. Kawabe will present new works including an installation comprised of precisely calculated light and shadow, two-dimensional charcoal works, and semi sculptural cut paper works.
