Tokyo University of Arts graduate school student Yoko Hoshino (b. 1991) creates vividly colored installations drawing on the senses of elation and ambient perception felt by people today. She admires the American artist Frank Stella for his sculptures delving into the possibilities of abstraction and overturning conventional ideas. “Transmigration” is meant to stimulate all five senses.
