Collection Exhibitions: “Expanding Colors and Shapes” + “Yoshio Akioka Complete Collection 5, Works by KAK”

Meguro Museum of Art, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2017, hosts annual exhibitions introducing works from the collection. This year, two collection exhibitions will be held simultaneously: “Expanding Colors and Shapes” and “Yoshio Akioka Complete Collection 5, Works by KAK.”
In the former, works by Genichiro Inokuma and Kumi Sugai on the theme of abstract expression in the 1950s and 1960s will be showcased. The latter will explore the work of Yoshio Akioka, Itaru Kaneko and Junnosuke Kawa, though their highly individual work for the design company KAK.
