Boro – Real Astonishment

Amuse Museum
Finished

Artists

Kyoichi Tsuzuki
With this exhibition, “boro” garments are hung among 34 photos newly published by Kyoichi Tsuzuki (the photographer and author of “Boro Rags and Tatters from the Far North of Japan” released in 2009 when this museum had a grand opening). A stunning world of art is unexpectedly created from shabby clothes once commonly used by people in Japan’s snowy northern Tohoku region.
