Kyotaro Hakamata “Non Circulating Lemon Yellow”
Ends in 30 days
Through permanent and special exhibitions, Museum Haus Kasuya has been exhibiting contemporary art from Japan and abroad since its opening in 1994. As it marks its 25th anniversary, the museum looks back on its activities while aiming to turn a new page and take on further challenges. With this in mind, throughout the year it will focus on leaders of contemporary art.
This exhibition features the work of Kyotaro Hakamata, an artist who is diversifying sculptural expression by continuing to question what sculpture is through various approaches exploring the possibilities of the medium. He also gives guidance to students and others pursuing the same path. This exhibition of Hakamata’s work with the museum’s collection of Joseph Beuys’ art will shed fresh light on the appeal of Hakamata’s sculpture.
