The first installment of this series spotlighting up-and-coming artists with ties to Chiba Prefecture presents the work of Chiba resident Nobuhiro Shimura, a documentary-style video artist interested in individual perspectives on the past. His new work “Nostalgia, Amnesia” about looking for sheep in French Basque country and Narita, Chiba is featured. The work considers culture and history lost amid modernization.
