This exhibition focuses on painters from Kurume, the birthplace of Shojiro Ishibashi, founder of the former Bridgestone Museum of Art. It includes three works from Shigeru Aoki’s “Sketches of Masks,” which have not been exhibited for many years, plus “Dim Light,” Hanjiro Sakamoto’s last work, and other new additions to the collection exhibited for the first time.
